Tree Trimming Caboolture

Tree Trimming Caboolture

Trees are a beautiful part of our landscape, but they can quickly become overgrown and a hazard if not properly trimmed. Tree trimming Caboolture is the process of removing dead or unhealthy branches, and pruning growth to encourage healthy growth and improve the look of your trees. It also prevents damage to structures or property and provides safety for pedestrians.

There are many reasons for pruning a tree; it may be to remove dead or damaged parts of the canopy, reduce the risk of damage from storms, help maintain safety, or simply because they have overgrown and need to be tidied up. A number of tools can be used in the pruning process, including shears, trimmers and saws. Some of the more common types of trimming include:

Crown Thinning

This is the selective removal of branches to open a view, allow light through or to address an imbalance in the crown shape. This is a form of pruning that can be very effective if carried out early in the life of a tree as it will provide good form for the long term, as opposed to allowing an overly dense crown to form which may lead to problems later on.

Crown Raising

This is the selective raising of a tree or shrub to a new height, usually achieved by removal of some lower branches. This is often required to provide clearance to a building or driveway, to reshape the form of a tree for aesthetic reasons or to reduce the risk of damage from falling limbs or debris. It is recommended that this work be carried out after a light prune in the previous season. Certain species do not respond well to this type of pruning, such as conifers (apart from hedges) which are likely to reshape poorly and Maples which tend to put on vigorous re-growth and can look poor after this form of pruning.
